Using glass tiles and glass splash backs is a good way to enhance the look of your tiling project. Try using them as a decor, as a border both in a vertical or horizontal format, or as a splash back. Glass tiles require a dedicated tile adhesive, as standard adhesive won't be able to adhere to it. It is worth mentioning that some glass tiles have a coloured backing painted on the underside and some other glass tiles will have this backing enclosed within the glass.
Where the paint is exposed, it is necessary to use a non shrinking tile adhesive (suitable for glass application) as otherwise some adhesives can pull and crack the painted backing. It is also required to "butter" the back of the tiles so that full coverage is achieved. Failing to do this, may possibly show the trawled ribs of the adhesive spreader and possibly the substrate through the front of the finished tiling.
